Software localization consists of linguistic and cultural adaptation of websites and software applications. This is a very precise activity, that includes multiple elements to consider and particularly depends on the design and implementation of each application. Some typical examples of elements to consider are:
- Component distribution in the interface. In some languages the length of text is more than in others. Hence, the process of localization is not reduced to "translation" of terms, but it also includes adaptation to the presentation.
