E-Mentoring

E-Mentoring is a service that consists of the assistance and assessment by a Mentor (expert in a certain topic or technology) to a person or group of people about a particular topic, offered remotely. This service includes:

Syncronic activities (instant messages, remote assistance, telephone).
Asyncronic activities (discussion forums, example cases, knowledge bases).

e-Mentoring appeared as a tool to be incorporated by organizations in order to improve the learning and experience curves of a work team. From the point of view of the learning curve of the work group, it is intended to accelerate the process of incorporating applied knowledge to the resolution of problems specific to each group, through a set of syncronic and asyncronic online tools. These tools are oriented to offer assessment, give example cases quickly, incorporate good practices and solve technical and programming problems of the group.
